Psalm 37

“Open up before God, keep nothing back; He’ll do whatever needs to be done…

Quiet down before God, be prayerful before Him.”

Here’s all of me, Lord.  Me and my mixed motives.  Me and my lack of understanding.  Me and my selfish desires.  You get it though.  Even more than I understand my toddler’s wants and stammers and imperfect communication and desires, You get me because You created me and You are always listening to me.  You do what needs to be done – You know what that is.

Now quiet my soul.  As I offer each of these things to You, I ask that You would take them and remove their distraction.  You know what needs to be done – You are in complete control.  I quietly wait before You for my next instruction.  I come before You in a prayerful attitude, waiting for Your Word.

  1. In the midst of such a busy day, this is such a sweet reminder of where center is: receiving the breath, space, pause, from God, and moving out from there.
