Psalm 62

God is it for me; He’s all I need.  He’s my bread and butter, my life and breath.  I’m at His beck and call.  “Everything I need comes from Him, so why not?”

He’s solid rock, unmoving under my feet.  He’s peace and stillness in my soul.  He’s my force-field nothing can penetrate.  I’m set for life.

Why don’t you all get it?  How can you possibly rely on your own strength, insisting you don’t need help?  Can’t you see the majesty and intricacy of God?  Are you really so stubborn as to think we’re here by accident and chance?!  You think you can do anything you set your mind to, but without God, you’re nothing!

God is it for me; He’s all I need.  He’s my bread and butter, my life and breath.  I’m at His beck and call.  “Everything I need comes from Him, so why not?”

My strength, joy, and peace are in God – unshakable, ever-patient God – so trust Him absolutely people!  Give Him your everything, your whole life.  God is a safe place to be.  When you expect what He promises, He won’t disappoint.

People are so fleeting!  We think the world revolves around us, but it doesn’t!  We’re like ants on a telephone wire.  An infinitesimal speck on the string of eternity.  Even if we put all our might together, we don’t amount to much compared to God.

God said it and He meant it, “Strength comes straight from God!”  There is nothing I can do apart from God: Not get up in the morning, not have patience with my kids, not be available for my husband, not be kind to my neighbors, not obey God or even want to obey God.  Nothing, nothing, nothing!  It all comes from Him!

I love You Lord God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.  You never let me down.
