Psalm 63

“God — You’re my God!  I can’t get enough of You!”

When I spend my day surrounded by the sin of myself and my family – selfish attitudes, ungrateful hearts, children who can’t be content – how sweet a moment away with You can be.  Like a cold glass of water after a long race.

“God — You’re my God!  I can’t get enough of You!”

When I spend time with people who rely on their own strength – weary bodies, minds overwhelmed, hearts hopeless – I’m reminded of how much I rely on Your strength, how little I would be without You.

“God — You’re my God!  I can’t get enough of You!”

When I talk with people who don’t know Your Love – easily offended, viciously backstabbing, rarely joyful or peaceful – I fall to my knees, so grateful for the gift You’ve given me, unable to express my gratitude for Your Love.

So here I am, bowing before You in worship.  Standing here, arms up, eyes open, drinking in Your strength and glory.  In Your generous love I am really living at last!  You are always on my mind, Your praises constantly spilling out my lips.  You fill me to the brim.  I feel loved and cared for.  Even when I can’t sleep in the middle of the night, my thoughts turn to You in praise and prayers for others.

Because You have never let me down, I don’t have a thing to worry about.  I’m free to enjoy life, to relish the good gifts You’ve given me.  I stay in the center of You, my Solid Rock, clinging to You for dear life and You hold me steady, never letting me go.

“God — You’re my God!  I can’t get enough of You!”
