Psalm 3

With all my might I shout up to God (in front of my enemies).
Help me to learn to call loudly to You when I am surrounded.
Confidence in God gives me invigorating rest!

David prayed for the hand of God to smite his own son because his son had turned against him.  May that never be my prayer!  Claim my son for Your own, gracious Father.  Protect his heart from Satan’s attempts on his life.  I can only shepherd him; his life is in Your hands.
